With RedHat, Ubuntu, Novell, Sun, Intel (UMPC) and Nokia (Maemo) supporting GNOME it was time for Mandriva to join the bandwagon.
Maybe KDE was better time ago, but right now that’s not the case, it’s just different and some/many people probably will like it more than GNOME _BUT_ propietary software companies (Adobe, …) still can’t accept the dual licence of the Qt libraries.
Stucking to KDE was just hurting the Mandriva bussiness, since big deployments will always scape from the “risky” KDE (Qt actually) licences.
It would be much better for Mandriva to put its efforts in core apps (Firefox, and OpenOffice) that going alone with KDE.
Mandriva is a public company that must respond to the people who put the money and stop fighting religious wars.

Shamar: we have been supporting GNOME for many years. We had a GNOME live / install hybrid CD before Ubuntu did, and we had a GNOME desktop long before Ubuntu existed.
The GNOME version of 2008 One was just delayed in creation for a few days, that’s all.

You should add this to the main download page.
I had to specifically search google for it.
Adam, you say you support Gnome. Then prove it! Put it on the download area!
