Hi all,
shortly after the release of 2011 beta1, we have discovered that the 32bit version was unable to boot in some cases (as it was pointed out at https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=62792). To solve this issue, we decided to provide additional set of images with the errata to this issue, which should be available on mirrors shortly.
Thanks!

I still can’t boot into it…It completely skips the flash drive…32 bit.
I used Mandriva-Seed as well as Fedora LiveUSB Creator, and same thing on both….
BIOS is set to boot from USB. I can stick in Mandriva 2010.2 and it boots just fine…
Downloaded from here: http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/MandrivaLinux/devel/iso/2011/Mandriva.2011-beta1.1.i586.iso
Hello, there is a tool inside the .iso image, you have to mount it and use this tool:
mount -o loop Mandriva.2011-beta1.i586.iso /mnt/
cd /mnt/Addons
And there it is: livecd-iso-to-disk
A think you can also just use dd
Thank you, I will try that when I get home.
I tried dd once, and ended up formating my hard drive…So I’m not too keen on using that again lol
64 bit wont install right either. mine woundt boot.
Beta 1.0 didn’t work.
I’m writing this reply on running beta 1.1.
It was done big progress from previous alpha.
I have a problem with Mandriva 2011 beta 1 while updating.
All of a sudden I got a black screen when updating, the update never took place correctly…. After rebooting I got the nextt error.
rpm: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib64/liblzma.so.5: file too short
Urpmi and all install/update software fails.
Please help.
