What’s coming in Mandriva Linux 2008

Lots of activity on the Mandriva Linux 2008 release schedule has happened over the last few days. The release schedule, listing the expected dates for the snapshot, alpha, beta and RC releases is now available. You can find a guide to the most interesting planned new features for the release here. And finally, the full technical specifications – listing more minor and less user-facing changes too – have been finalized. The page will updated to monitor the progress of the Cooker developers on each area.

    I believe, MDV2008 return Mandriva GNU/Linux to top position on Distrowatch.

    Je pense que la version 2008 devra prendre la même direction que la version edu (back to school) pour ce qui est de l’interface graphique. Elle devra en plus proposer des jeux assez cossu comme enemy teritory etc…
    Enfin l’univers mandriva permettant de recenser tous les paquetages disponibles pour mandriva avec synaptique par exemple et de les installer en 3 coups de click est indispensable !
